Leong San Tong Khoo Kongsi Temple

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERACommonly known as Khoo Kongsi Temple, Leons San Tong Khoo Kongsi Temple is one of the  one of the most distinctive Chinese clan associations in Malaysia. It is well known worldwide for its extensive lineage that can be traced back 650 years, as well as its closely-knit and defensive congregation of buildings and a magnificent clanhouse. It is located at Cannon Square in George Town, Penang.The clan temple consists of two floors, the ground floor and the top floor. The ground floor was previously occupied by the Toon Boon Tong, or the Parentage Society, which was founded in 1884. Nowadays, it is used as the Khoo Kongsi Clan Museum. To the left of the museum is a small giftshop.

Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC)

20140624_121143Also known to many as GSC, the Golden Screen Cinemas are one of the the most popular cinemas in Malaysia.The result of a merger between Golden Communications (M) Sdn.Bhd (by PBB Group Sdn. Bhd. and Golden Harvest International Ltd.) and Cathay Cinemas Sdn.Bhd (CCSB) saw to the establishment of Golden Screen Cinemas Sdn. Bhd. (GSC) in 1998. Having currently established itself as the largest cinema exhibitor in the country, the first GSC cinema was launched in East Malaysia back in 1981 which quickly led to the rapid expansion of their cinemas including the notable opening of GSC Mid Valley at Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur in 1999, which is the largest multiplex in South East Asia with a total of 18 screening halls and 2351 seats.As of 2014, there is a total of 251 digital screens in 31 locations across Malaysia and Vietnam.
