Used to be on of the hottest attractions in Penang, Prangin Mall was the spot for shopping, dinind and or just to hangout among Penangites. Sadly, due to rising competition from other shopping malls such as Gurney Plaza and Queensbay Mall, Prangin Mall lost its luster. However, its still a place to visit by everyone. Prangin Mall has 167 shops, spread out over 5 floors. In the basement there is a Giant Supermarket. Anchor tenant is happens to be none other that Parkson. Food and Beverages outlets include Starbucks, McDonalds, Home Recipe, Secret Recipe , Subway and many more.

Sunshine Farlim Shopping Mall
Sunshine Farlim Shopping Mall is a two-storey shopping mall in Farlim. This shopping mall replaces Sunshine Farlim Hypermarket which is just a mile difference which opened 11 November 1999. With the opening of Sunshine Farlim Shopping Mall, Sunshine Farlim Hypermarket stopped is operations and closed. Sunshine maintains its position as the biggest retail operator in Ayer Itam.The new shopping mall occupies two floors, and has a total floor area of 371,600 sq ft / 19,675 sq meters. The ground floor is a department store selling clothes and fashion accessories. The first floor houses a supermarket. It is accessed by a set of travelators. In addition to the Sunshine Department Store and Supermarket, the shopping mall also includes other tenants including Bread R Us, Penang Chendol, Adventist Bakery, Body Glove Shop to name a few.
Island Plaza
Considered a small mall by standards, Island Plaza is located in Tanjung Tokong, a few kilometers apart from another mall Gurney Plaza. There is also Metrojaya, a big department store, is the anchor tenant inside. It also houses, the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and the Starbucks which both offers a good cuppa. For groceries, there is the infamous Cold Storage Supermarket which world wide range of groceries. At the 4th floor W Cinemax; the first 3D Cineplex in Malaysia. It is a very sophisticated and a classy place to visit.

One of the happening and hottest shopping mall in Penang Island, the mall was opened in year … Its open 10.30 am to 10.30 pm daily except for the Golden Screen Cinema(GSC) which open till midnight due to midnight movie screening which happens to be one of the mall hottest attraction.
